Kalanggaman Island

Checked an item off my bucket list.

Finally after a year of planning to visit this sandbar, it happened! Aboard a yacht from the Cebu Yacht Club to Kalanggaman, we travelled for 8 hours, nothing really much to say there but I suggest you guys travel by land to Danao or Bogo and from there hire a boat that will take you to the island. It may sound luxurious to be travelling by yacht, but i'll spare you the hassle should you decide not to :)

Anyways, like I said this has been on my bucket list for a very long time and just merely getting there sane is already enough haha, it did not disappoint in terms of being a sand bar with of course white sand but all this hype about this place made me feel like i was actually deceived big time. I've seen a lot of better places, to say the least.

The below pic is the view of the tip of the sand bar

The island has a portion that's good for snorkeling, Keo and I took a chance and saw some schools of fish to our delight

Me trying to enjoy the clear waters after that loooonnnggg trip! :)

Went with this cool couple and celebrating Aldoy's birthday. Him showing the yacht that took us here

All in all, a bucket list ticked off, white sand and clear waters, cool couple to travel with and a bucket list ticked off...lol

Travel Tip:

From Cebu to Bogo Port via Private Car/Van or bus

From Bogo port, scout for men with bancas you can hire for a day to take you to the Island (ranging from 2-3000php, depending on the size of the boat)

Travel Time - 4 hours by land, 1.5 hours by sea, leave the city early so you can maximize your time on the beach. Travel back at around 5 pm
